This one does not show the road and bridge over the river. However, if you are under impressed and I suspect you will be, I won't bother to uploading more. smile.gif

ugh...did not work but it sure took a long time to tell me that.

Infernus, when I converted the file to .jpg it went from over 1,000 KB to 205. I'm trying the direct upload now...

Here is a view showing the other side where the tunnel comes out and the bridge over the river.

Actually Roads, I LOVE the landscaping you've done there! How the plateau glides down onto a flat plain on one side and then a near cliff on the other, with the country backroads winding around everywhere. That would make a great platform for a city simcity/Clap.gif

Do you have any plans to develop it?

Yeah, that's what it does, the .jpg format makes the file sizes smaller.

But, those are some great pics, keep it up! smile.gif

Thanks fellas for the simcity/Clap.gif

SimZilla I guess I will have to develop it at least a little bit. I told Cody when he called home Saturday that the next time he was home I would have some challenging roads for him to drive on. smile.gif

Actually this shows an example of why I dislike linear city building. That is, that cities can only be built one way. If this square of countryside were between two flat areas and could really benefit from the traffic between the surrounding cities I wouldn't have to worry about adding so much industry.

You know, there is a kind of a way around building lots of industry in that city. If you just put lots of industry in the other two cities there should be enough jobs for the people in the main city to work at. It can turn into sort of a bedroom community that way, and leave the dirty industries out of your nice city. smile.gif

I've been wondering if that would work. I kinda, sorta tested it with a farming community as a satellite to my major city so I would not have to build farms in the major. I couldn't tell any difference on the RCI graph but that thing doesn't seem like it accurately reflects the zoning needs anyway. Also I guess, really that farms are just considered industry.

Thanks for the suggestion Infernus. I'm going to try it.

It actually works very well. I have a region with almost 15 million people in it, but roughly only 1.2 million industrial jobs. Probably 75% of my cities have no industry whatsoever within the borders, it is all supplied from feeder cities elsewhere in the region. smile.gif Eventually almost all of the industry could be weaned out by commercial if I needed to.

lol, I have been working on it for over 4 years now wink.gif That's why it's so big, and also why a lot of the industry has been taken out.

4 years???

OMG, that speaks volumes in itself both as a testament to how good the game really is and to how much you've gotten into it. Actually you probably owe Maxis some money. Whatever you paid for it...well it was a bargain. smile.gif
